Our Thoughts: Darcy visited this park with her sister and mother when she went to Georgia in October 2021. The site was well-maintained and easy to find, though due to the volume of visitors we had to park a ways away, but that ended up being fine because the walk there was lovely too.
Hiking through the Georgia woods was full of new things to see...it is nothing like a Washington forest. The battlegrounds are marked by signs, but not much remains of the battle to be seen anymore. The visitor center has more information about the battlefield and they have some folks on hand to demo at certain times of the day. We came when it was very sunny and it was a weekend so it was a packed trail.
